If you were paying attention, the U’s returned to EFL Trophy action at Barnet on Tuesday night, losing 3-2 in the last minute.

Being this competition, it wasn’t a game that was likely to draw the biggest away following of the season. But UTAS contributor Matt Ramsay was there (scab), providing commentary for BBC Radio Cambridgeshire, as he has been doing for many Trophy games over the past few seasons.

He also had the mic for the opening group game against Luton and here he’s provided a look behind the curtain at an evening in the life of a commentator, including what it takes to prepare and what goes on in the commentary box during game – which on this occasion was a United win.
