Yep, fab listen.Would highly recommend. Also, many thanks for answering the question around luck and points returned.
Here's another question . . . .
Guess the big question is - when will we be on the pitch? Or put another way: when will Brophy score?
What would be interesting to understand is:
Where are the majority of league one goals scored from? By that I mean the area of the pitch. In the Prem, believe the majority of goals are scored in the half spaces.
Would be interesting to learn:
if the same applies to League one
and
how often JB occuppies those areas versus other u's players.
One of the great things about JB is that he does have the flexibility to play different positions so may not be able to get a definitive answer. Btw not being critical of JB, he's fab on the half turn, carrying the ball and can see a pass. Was very unlucky on Tuesday nite at Stevenage not to score.
Regarding this stats special:
Cory Smith is probs the first name on the team sheet. Would be for me .;-)
The piece about mentality was very very interesting. My take on that differs to you guys. For the mentality piece I don't think it's as low as maybe you guys think it is/was. I say that on the basis that GM was consistent in his post match pressers that the heads are not down as much as would be expected. Suggests that they understand that they were not far away from getting better resultsr and that lady luck or lack of hadn't helped any.
The players look like they have and are really buying into what GM wants to deliver. Appreciate that tactically things have had to change through both injuries and results. But in the long long run this should bring us tactical flexibility in games. Which will be interesting to see how Ben can illustrate and brings some life to :-)
Looking forward to the next installment, hope the above is of interest.
