Lincoln (A) Match Preview
Saturday rolls round once again, as United travel North in the quest to pick up some much needed points. This time the bus will be slightly fuller than before, as Conor McGrandles and Michael Morrison join the squad to add some much needed depth and experience.
McGrandles looks to be a midfielder in the Digby mould - highly rated by fans of former club Lincoln he hasn't really managed to break through at Charlton so is hoping he can make an impact here at United. Morrison needs no introduction, as one of the few bright sparks from our early Conference years he made a big move to Leicester City after 120-odd games for United, establishing himself as a first choice centre back at a number of clubs including Charlton, Birmingham and Reading, playing over 400 games in the Championship. Now 34, the local lad makes his return to the Abbey on an 18 month deal.
Bonner hopes these additions, plus one more potential newcomer will allow him to rotate the squad and try out some different formations - our question is 'too little too late?' Let's find out.
Lincoln are undefeated at home this season, but have only won there twice. We've lost the last god-knows-how-many games so it could go either way.
