For most teams, we’re 7 games into the League One season. For United and a handful of others, it’s 8. But what is for sure is the first block of games in the season feels like it’s done. And all those minutes of football mean that we finally have some meaningful data to look at.
Last year we ran a monthly ‘League Two Stat Pack’, where Ben looked around the league at all the crucial numbers and looked at where United compared. We’ve kept the same principle this year, but slightly rebranded it as “It’s A Numbers Game”, just for fun. More importantly, we’re also using industry-leading Impect data meaning we have a whole lot more to look at, and some interactive tables that you can play around with to see who’s performing well or badly according to different metrics. Ben also breaks down a few key points for the division and United, and has a look ahead at our next 5 fixtures to see what data match-ups suit us or otherwise.
Of course, the numbers only tell one part of the story. Data is not the conclusive factor in all arguments, and should just be another tool with which to paint the canvas of your opinion. But we’re very lucky to have access to this data and be able to give Coconut Tier members what we think is very rare access into this level of insight. Enjoy and of course share us around if you think we’re worth your £5 a month.
