July is coming to a close and the League One season is starting to loom large on the horizon. Harris’ U’s squad is coming together – probably more slowly than he, Bonner or any of us would like, but faced with the realities of the market and our position within it, in part that is just an unavoidable challenge we have to confront.

But the business keeps trickling in, this time with the summer’s second loan signing in young Callum Perry. He joins on a season-long loan from Coventry fresh off winning the most dramatic of all promotions with Rochdale last year.
